Membership in the Waynesboro Choral Society starts with an audition. All potential choir members audition before the director, the accompanist, and a few board members. You may audition with a piece of music you select, but also will be asked to sight read a piece of music you're not familiar with.
The group normally limits itself to a maximum of 60 voices and any openings are announced at the start of rehearsals in the fall (for the Christmas Concert) or in January for the Spring Concert.
Bring this info form with you to your audition. We're eager to have you sing with us. Don't be intimidated, the webmaster passed his audition, so it can't be TOO hard!
Our next AUDITIONS (tryouts) will be held in January 2010. Watch here for dates. Tryouts will be at our regular rehearsal location: the choir room of Main St. Methodist church. Tryouts will start at 8:30pm, but feel free to come join us at 7:00pm and sing along during our rehearsal as a warm up. Yes, we will have openings in all vocal ranges. Come make some beautiful music and some new friends with us!
